We gather to honor Matthew Hopkins for his contributions to Classical Christian education. He has consistently and faithfully reminded us that education is discipleship and intimately tied to our walk with Jesus, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Through his tremendous leadership, sacrifice, and skill, Augustine Classical Academy was founded in 2009, and Matt has deeply touched the lives of many. Accordingly, as Head of School-Emeritus, we want to come together to thank him, honor him, and bless him with a special time of rejoicing.
